Light posts cleaned for dramatic impact

Windsor Garden has 42 low lamp posts with concrete bases. They provide valuable lighting and aesthetic appeal at night.

Unfortunately, there has never been documentation that these have ever been cleaned, though it is most likely they were at some point. Virtually every one of them was coated with an unsightly layer of algae and moss.

We hired Jetset Exteriors to clean all the bases. The company also cleaned, at no extra charge, the concrete posts at the base of the wood standards around the amenities room because company owner Bryan Steski felt it would be unfinished if those were left in their current state.

In addition, the company cleaned the algae-covered car wash station.

The car wash station was covered in algae and moss, and needed to be cleaned.

Jetset noted to us that there are also a couple of tall light posts at the outside edge of the property, almost hidden from view by the trees on the southwest corner, asking if we wanted those addressed as well. Council felt it would be incomplete if they were left so we added them to the project.

The total cost came to just under CAD$600, a very reasonable price for such an extensive project.

Here are some before-and-after comparisons of how the lamp stands changed in appearance because of the cleaning project:
