Among the many benefits of living in Windsor Garden are the four playground areas available for kids to enjoy. These were neglected for some time by past strata councils, but are once again clean for this year’s warmer weather.
Although I don’t have young kids (ours are now grown up and living on their own), my wife and I appreciate the beautiful playground areas in this complex. There are four areas. One is located at the roundabout, another behind the amenities centre, and a third one in the south side near units 29 and 38, and a fourth in the south west corner near units 39 and 50.
Unfortunately, past councils were so focused on major projects that they neglected to look after important regular maintenance, such as cleaning and sanitizing the playgrounds on a regular basis. Earlier this year, during a walk through with some members of the strata council, we were shocked and disgusted by the condition of these playgrounds.

Council hired JetSet Exteriors, a pressure washing firm based in Richmond, and the same one that did such a fine job of our walkways at a very reasonable cost, to clean the playgrounds. That project was completed in April 2026. Here’s what they look like now:

Playgrounds should be cleaned every 2 years to remove dirt, algae buildup, and to sanitize the surfaces. The new members of the current council, elected in summer of 2025, are committed to seeing this cleaning being done on a regular basis, along with other necessary maintenance projects.
